"my cat is snoring.."

Here we go..

Okay,
So,
It's 22:33pm (obvs pm!) and although I am utterly exhausted, my friend has tempted me into producing a new post. So, I won't go completely off the subject, I'll stick with school ramblings.

Wow, it's hard to know where to start.
I think I'll being with my opinion on school and education in general, then I can break it down into chewable chunks. "Chewable chunks"..?

In My Opinion..

So, my opinion on school/education? Well, first off, I think the human race would have gotten nowhere without it. I mean, even in the early days, the stone age, there was some form of education floating around. When I say education, I mean learning in general. For example, a father would have taught his son to hunt and cook other animals.

Having studied Psychology for a good few months now, allow me to direct your attention to the Behaviourist Approach. It was developed by so-and-so and tested by whoever, but the basis of it is that humans are born as a blank slate and learn the ways of life. Simple things such as how to walk and speak through to harder matters such as how to write and break down a mathematical formula.

My point is, learning is an essential part of life. A lot of people believe that school only teaches a person how to read, write and do "clever" things. These people believe that teachers don't teach us how to "live our lives", how to socialise, etc. I disagree with this completely. I believe that on top of all the detailed core subjects that school explores, we are also able to master some very important social schools within a schools grounds.

Now, please, let's not go into the differences between boarding school education, home schooling and mainstream education, because, to be honest, I've never been in the position where I can make a fair judgement on any other type of education. For the purpose of this article, let's keep it simple and all about mainstream.

So, as I was saying, school can teach us very valuable skills. As well as intellectual gains, one can also gain a broader knowledge on how to communicate with other people. A lot of schools these days (particularly primary schools) advertise politeness and anti-bullying to their students. I fully support these ideas as I believe, having been raised in a primary school where these techniques were put into place, that they are very effective.

Now, here come the negatives,

As I said in my first post, I try not to be bias, so I am obliged to include these points.
Basically, I think school is a very important part of life,
BUT
It is not necessarily a safe place. Of course, it varies with different schools, but I have heard story upon story of bullying. Along with the rest of the population, I strongly believe that bullying is atrocious!

"some people deserve to be bullied"

No-one deserves to be bullied.

Bullying is usually in the form of discrimination and if there is one thing the majority of the population will always fight against, it's discrimination.

I'm starting to feel very tired now, so I shall leave you with these thoughts and update again tomorrow.
Best wishes.

i adore what you've said here; completely agree, no one should ever be victimised and people who live believing they can hold a predatorial position are cruel, inconsiderate nothings.
haha omg, dont you think of jordan's quote from scrubs!
"i don't hate you. i nothing you." ahhh so good :')
